Backstory

AIESEC is the global youth network impacting the world through leadership development experiences. For over 65 years,  we have been developing a global learning environment with over 86,000 members and 1,000,000 alumni across 124 countries & territories, AIESEC is the world’s largest youth-run organisation.

As a platform for leadership development, AIESEC offers youth the opportunity to volunteer or intern abroad, take part in team and leadership experiences and participate in a global learning environment.

We have been present in Australia for 50 years, with branches also in Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide and Perth.

AIESEC offers youth the opportunity to volunteer or intern abroad, take part in leadership experiences, and participate in a global learning environment.

AIESEC ICON GO VOLUNTEER

Go Volunteer

Go Volunteer involves working on community development projects with other youth abroad. The projects involve creating and facilitating seminars and activities for young people around subjects like cultural education and career development, allowing you to have a direct positive impact on communities while gaining an intense cultural experience.

AIESEC ICON GO TEACH

Go Teach

Go Teach involves a professional working experience abroad in the field of language education. It involves working for schools or language institutions to teach English to youth and adults, giving you the opportunity to apply and develop your professional working skills in a foreign cultural environment.

AIESEC ICON GO LEAD

Go Lead

Go Lead involves practical team experience that develops leadership abilities by running a global organisation. It provides a platform for you to apply your university education in a practical experience whilst increasing global awareness and cultural understanding. In the program, you will first join AIESEC Macquarie as a team member within a portfolio, opening up further opportunities to build your leadership journey.

AIESEC’s Go Volunteer program is credit approved by Macquarie University’s Professional and Community Engagement program (PACE). Students can now volunteer as part of their academic experience.
PACE is a Macquarie University initiative to integrate practical experience into your degree, giving you the chance to work with different communities while gaining academic credit. Such practical experience is highly valued in the competitive job market today, ultimately giving you an edge over other graduates.
